An Analysis of Photo Collage Software

Picasa is a photo editing and storage tool that is created by Google. A lot of people use this to help store their pictures and back them up. Google gives you a lot of space on your account, so you should be able to hang onto all your pictures without the fear of losing anything if you have any sort of computer troubles or failures.

You can do a lot of different things with the software. You can make collages, edit photos, build slide shows, etc. You can even save sets of pictures and have them turned into cds and vcds, which you can put in your DVD player and watch on the television.

The software is pretty light, which is nice for computers. Even though it has a lot of features, it doesn’t have the strongest ones. Since it is so light, you’re going to notice that editing and things can be pretty limited. I suppose that is their aim though. The average person isn’t going to require advanced features and would only complicate the usage of what should be a simple device.

Fotoslate

This is pretty interesting software because it is mainly focused on the printing aspect of things. This software can help you print all sorts of different things for your pictures. You can print photo calanders, t-shirts, greeting cards, Christmas cards, etc. You can even make the same type of CDs and DVDs that will play in your DVD player, so you can view your pictures on the television.

For obvious reasons this is going to be a little more advanced and harder to learn because of all the extra features and all the various printing that you can make. It is decent photo collage software, but you will definitely have a learning curve that you’re going to have to get around.

Photo Collage Studio

This software is actually pretty good because it is exclusively designed for collages. The two previous ones listed can make collages, but they aren’t exclusively designed for that task. This is yet again a little advanced for people because you’re going to have a lot more photo editing features that you’ll find in a lot of photoshop programs. You can crop, cut, and filter. For the most part you won’t need to use anything, but crop and cut, but as you get better you can do a lot of neat things with filters and other little features.

You’re going to have a learning curve with this software too, but I suppose the advantage it has over the other two is that it is designed specifically for making photo collages. That is obviously an advantage.
